The Marmon Family

Stephen and Jane Marmon have continued Margo Marmon’s support of the museum, contributing to the creation of experiences like Take Me There: Egypt.

The Marmon family’s gifts in support of The Children’s Museum run both long and deep. Margaret Marmon—“Margo” to her friends and family—began her long and generous tradition of supporting both annual and capital priorities in 1973 and contributed in excess of $1.3 million to the museum before her passing in 2007. Among the many projects and initiatives that her gifts made possible are the original Playscape gallery, the Reuben Wells exhibitThe Power of Children exhibit, and Dale Chihuly’s Fireworks of Glass.

Stephen Marmon (Margo’s son) and his wife Jane joined Margo in generously supporting the museum with gifts in support of annual operations in the late 1980s. Since that time, they have generously supported each of the capital priorities supported by Margo Marmon, as well as more recent projects including Take Me There: Egypt and the renovation of Playscape.

Stephen also served the museum as a Distinguished Advisor from 2004–2005.
