A Year of Celebration
Each year, we inspire and delight more than 1.2 million visitors, thanks, in large part, to the enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteers. In 2013, we celebrated the work of these amazing individuals including members of The Children’s Museum Guild, who enjoyed record attendance at the annual Haunted House, and all the volunteers who worked both behind the scenes and with visitors to contribute more than 57,000 service hours valued at more than $1.27 million!
The Children’s Museum Guild took this year’s Haunted House to extraordinary new heights.
The Power of Children Awards recognize middle- and high-school youths who make significant contributions to benefit others.
Our valued volunteers work with visitors and staff to help make the museum a place respected worldwide. This past year, 600 active volunteers contributed an extraordinary 68,531 hours valued at $1.53 million.
MAP is our project-based Museum Apprentice Program designed for youths ages 13 to 18 that encourages learning through volunteering.
