The Children's Museum of Indianapolis could not be the world-class museum it is without the generous financial assistance of donors and supporters who have made extraordinary contributions this past year.
The museum is governed by the Board of Trustees, comprising no fewer than 24 members and no more than 35 members. The board also includes Distinguished Advisors, Honorary Trustees, and Affiliate Representatives. This page lists those who served on the museum's board in 2012.

In 2012, The Efroymson Family Fund joined lead Playscape donors and closed the gap to make the new $3.2 million Playscape a fully funded initiative. Construction of the new Playscape began in August of 2012.
The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded the museum a $125,000 grant to build a new state-of-the-art environmental system that will better safeguard the valuable textile collection, an initiative that received additional funding from longtime museum supporters Gerald and Dorit Paul.
